The book retraces the extraordinary career of the journalist Antonio Ghirelli, from the post-war period to the democratisation of the country, from sport to politics. A journey through interviews with those who knew him, the testimonies of the many talents he was able to discover and nurture, and the memories of the many colleagues who worked with him. The volume also brings together a special selection of his most interesting articles, with valuable unpublished pieces that shed light on his many vocations (radio, theatre, cinema, television, poetry) and bear witness to his love for his Naples. The work, edited by his sons Guido and Massimo, came about thanks to the steadfast affection of Vincenzo Impicciatore, an example of Antonio Ghirelli’s particular attention to young people, not only to the readers for whom his innovations and inventions in the world of the press and information were intended, but also to aspiring professionals in what Ghirelli considered the finest profession in the world: journalism
